The growing concern for the sustainable transport highlights the need of new road routes. Formal methods of road design are time consuming, laborious and inaccurate especially while dealing with large geographic areas.

GIS and remote sensing techniques can be effectively employed in the design and development of road routes. To tackle these problems, new optimal road routes are required. Optimal roads routes provide rapid mobility for trading and traveling, either nationwide or internationally. Various conventional methods are being used to delineate road routes by civil engineers, but GIS and remote sensing technologies can more effectively be used to calculate road routes as well as geometric design of road routes.

This Solution represents a new dimension in Road Engineering which decreases the time required to plan and design a road.  GIS offers a far more diverse and efficient method of route determination. Many financial and performance parameters which cannot be gauged through conventional methods can be gauged through GIS means. We can generate different cost estimates and come up with alternative solutions.
